How to Get to Sumela Monastery?

If you come by bus or plane, you will have to go to Maçka with local bus companies first. You can reach Maçka by minibuses going to Sümela Monastery. If you come with your private vehicle, you have to follow Maçka signboards along the coast road. After arriving at a certain distance by car, you need to walk 300 meters.

Sumela Monastery Visiting Hours and Entry Fee

Entrance fee ; 15 pounds.

Visiting hours are as follows;

Summer months; 9: 00-18: 00

Winter months; 8: 00-16: 00
